Looking for Silence – then Anino Kite Resort is a Must

The Anino Kite Resort is a small boutique hotel located on Cuyo Island at a quiet and very beautiful beach on the east coast. Cuyo Island is one of the best spots in the Philippines for kiteboarding/ kitesurfing and is still not overcrowded. Cuyo can be reached at by ferry from Puerto Princesa and Iloilo. A small charter plane from Puerto Princesa costs about 1600 US$.

The Anino Kite Resort located in a lush tropical surrounding is the best accommodation on Cuyo Island with three cottages and four double rooms. With the onshore Amihan wind slightly from the left, our 400 meters of private sand beach lined with coconut palm trees  is the perfect spot for kite boarders – beginners and professionals – and 100% safe and secure. Cuyo Island is part of the region with the strongest winds in the Philippines, and that’s what brings the dedicated kiters to Cuyo. We provide kiteboarding / kitesurfing lessons for beginners. Couples with children and small groups are welcome. The marine sanctuary in front is great for snorkeling during less windy days. You will enjoy our beach whether you are a kiter or not. Also great for island hopping if there is not enough wind for kiteboarding.  At the Anino Kite Resort all you hear is the sound of wind and waves instead of the usual round-the-clock noise by roosters, stray dogs, cars, motor-bikes, karaoke, or a nearby radio, as is the case in Cuyo town that can be reached in 15 minutes.

The charm of Cuyo Island and the Anino Kite Resort is both its remote location where you can get away from it all, as well as the rare chance to meet like-minded kiters from all over the world in the Anino Lounge or the Kite Lounge at the beach. This is the place where you want to spend your honeymoon in a romantic environment at a beautiful beach and perhaps chill-out in a hammock in the shade of our palm tree grove. We have returning kiters who have booked fully three month for the sixth season!
